Night: Resistance Journal Prompt
 
For the unit of study, you have the option to read the text or access the audio/ read aloud clip for each section of text.

  • As you read/ listen consider the content/ thoughts/ feelings/ experiences of our character as you organize your ideas into your journal entry.
  •  Each journal entry is a paragraph (5 to 7 sentences)  
Over the course of Night, you need to respond/ answer one of the journal prompts, which I have included below and also created a Google Doc form for you to hand into me electronically Night- Resistance Entry- Google Doc

 Resistance: pp. 85-97

  1. How would you define resistance? In what ways can a person resist things? Does resistance need to be an open or shown action? How have you shown resistance in your life? What were you resisting and why? 
  2. In what ways do we see Elie and the prisoners around him resist? What are he/ they resisting? How? Why?

INSTRUCTIONS
