Welcome!

Welcome!
Mrs. Otke and Willow

It has been a whirlwind of a year and I know that I am excited to be back with my Eagleview family!  Over the next few months, I am looking forward to working with you and your families, whether it is in class at ECHS or through remote learning and getting to know one another as well. It will be a different year, but we are all in this together and can navigate the waters together! Learning and laughing together!
At the top of this page, you will see the names of all of the classes I teach. When you click on the class name that you take with me, the page you are taken to will have all of my assignments for that class listed by date.
So, if you are taking ELA B30/31 from me, you will click on the "ELA B30" button above and see all of that class's assignments. There will be audio and video clips included to help guide your learning as well. I have also create Google Forms/ Docs to help you hand in assignments electronically versus taking photos of assignments. Please try to use these!

Fun facts about Mrs. Otke
- This will be my 5th year teaching English at ECHS! Time flies, when you are having fun!
-Married and husband's name is Zach. He does safety and rescue in the oil patch.
-Both of us are from Ontario, and escape to the lake every summer!
-No kiddos, but I love my "fur kids----> Willow and my rescue kitties Pumpkin and Eby... Eby came home with me from ECHS my second year in a photocopy box!  Zach was not happy at first, but has gotten use to strays sleeping over, finding strays or feeding them. Animal lover to say the least!
-Love to garden! Flower beds are overflowing...Zach might have to build me a few new flower beds! I love the colours, sunshine, and getting my hands dirty! I am learning vegetable gardening!
-I have two nephews: Asher and Arthur whom have stolen my heart. I am "Tante Mari" to Asher and Arthur.  Tante means Aunt in Dutch.
-I have a younger sister- Katriena and she lives in Barrie with her husband and my 2 nephews.
-1st generation Canadian. My mom and dad both immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands (aka Holland), which is why I am a "Tante" versus auntie.
