• Who practiced it when, where, why? 
• What were the results?
• Research the way European people thought of their children in the 19th century- think of nannies, boarding schools in England and Canada, read about the government policies over time. Try to understand how the residential school could have happened. 
• Write some information that you have learned through your Internet searches, or conversations with family members.
