Redbird builds his poem through a series of metaphors, wherein he compares himself to other objects, places, and people.
You are expected to write your own " I am"poem, which will also include metaphors and comparisons.
- Be creative and use thoughtful comparisons that you believe best represent you.
- Try to draw on/ think about places you've been, the things you have done, and the things in your life that have been the most important to you.
- The poem must be a minimum of 8 lines and maximum of 25 lines.

Once you have completed your "I am" poem, please email the assignment to your teacher to get credit for your ideas and learning. Make sure your name clearly marked.
